SEO (Search Engines Optimisation) is often intertwined with technical details, which marketers rely on SEO experts for.

1. Keep it simple, but interesting
A marketer knows that having your website appear in the first ten search results does not guarantee clicks. You also want to ensure that customers who click, keep coming back, and this is where many SEO experts fall short. All they want you to see is that the website appears in the first page of the search results. As an SEO expert, you can bring value to the website by adhering to the following questions;
“What would make people click on my website?”
“What value does my website have for them?”
“What would make them recommend my website to others?”
“What would keep them coming back to the website?”
Answering those questions will generate useful results. Think from the perspective of the user. When optimizing your website pages’ titles and meta description tags, make sure to write what is appealing and useful for your prospects.
2. Stay up-to-date and avoid spending too much time.
How many of you are still wasting time on updating the XML sitemap every time you have new URLs in your website? No need for that anymore. Google has launched its “Fetch as Googlebot” in 2011. You can find it under “Diagnostics” in “Google Webmaster Tools.” To my surprise, not a lot of SEO experts knew about it.
Another example is that how many of you think that they may need to hide their Google Places address ASAP? Google started classifying business models according to whether they received customers at their address. If a business only visited customers externally, yet didn't hide their address, rankings seemed to go down. However with recent updates by Google, it appears that choosing the hide address feature will not negatively impact any type of local focused rankings. So don't panic!

Once you do this you will be appreciated by users and your website rank will rise and last, as long as you are still serving on business objectives.
5. Attract people to create a buzz and grow bigger
Share fun and interesting facts about your business; people are not always looking for static, repetitive and boring information anymore. Paint a funny picture, create a surprising web application, offer special services and tell fun stories.
